[What do you think?]
"From what I hear, Star Wars: The Clone Wars is really bad. Bad enough for the king of the fanboys, Harry Knowles, to reportedly write, “I hated the film. HATED IT. REALLY HATED IT.” Bad enough that Warner Bros. had the review removed from Aint it Cool News due to a review embargo — though probably it had more to do with it being so damaging to the studio’s marketing of the film (apparently Warners had no issue with Variety publishing its so-so review on the same day). I’m not in the least bit surprised. Most people I know who used to be big Star Wars fans won’t be bothering to see the film. But if it bombs at the box office this weekend, what will t "

[Be the first to tell us!]
"Among other things, Beetlejuice is, to a large extent, a statement on the pitfalls of opposing interior decoration aesthetics brought together under one roof, although all within the overarching umbrella of late 80's yuppie chic. Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin, the couple who dies after driving through the side of a barn in their buttercreme volvo wagon which was acceptable back then, represent the Connecticut Laura Ashley Turtleneck team, whereas Catherine O'Hara and Ed Rooney from Ferris Bueller represent the Desperate-To-Be-Huge-In-The- Chelsea-District team. As you can well imagine, Tim Burton's prediction of how this battle turns out is illustrated in a myriad of striking color palette, textures and unexpected angular objects all within this big house that looks like a church. Geena and Alec can't leave the house because if they go outside then they end up in a big Dali painting which is no good, and Ed and Catherine O'Hara can't leave because they' ... "

"I've seen this film countless times...and it never gets old. I love this film like it was a child of mine. I read that Warner Bros execs were worried about the title of the film, and as a joke, Tim Burton told them he was considering titling the film "Scared Sheetless". They thought it was a brilliant idea. Tim Burton was mortified. The rest is history. "

"Musical theater legend Robert Goulet died yesterday at the age of 73, while awaiting a lung transplant. Goulet first made his mark starring in Camelot on Broadway in 1960; he was a staple of variety shows made-for-TV musical adaptations until both went out of fashion; he appeared in Beetlejuice and Atlantic City; he voiced the penguin in Toy Story 2. But most people of a certain age probably know Goulet best through Will Ferrell’s impersonations on SNL. So, in tribute to Goulet, I’ve embedded my favorite of Ferrell’s Goulet clips above. You get the idea. Originally posted on:
