Directed by Michael Bay
Former video director Michael Bay had his first big hit with this action comedy, which also returned producers Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson to the big-budget, high-violence movies that they successfully churned out in the '80s. Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) are two Miami cops who watch as 100 million dollars in heroin, from the biggest drug bust of their careers, is stolen out of the basement of police headquarters. This puts them hot on the trail of French drug lord Fouchet (Tchéky Karyo), who leaves a trail of bodies in his wake and only one witness, Julie Mott (Téa Leoni), who quickly teams up with our heroes. Comic hijinks ensue when plot complications force Mike to impersonate the married Marcus, to the point of moving in with his wife and children, while Marcus takes over Mike's bachelor pad and lifestyle. Car chases, snappy one-liners, and nonstop pacing fuel this umpteenth variation on the cop "buddy" formula. ~ Don Kaye, All Movie Guide

"Miami Police detectives "Marcus" (Martin Lawrence) and "Mike" (Will Smith) have a problem. The drugs they obtained in the biggest bust of their careers have been stolen. To complicate things, the Kingpin of the gangsters who stole the narcotics (Tchéky Karyo) has killed a former cop (Emmanuel Xuereb) who stole some of the narcotics for himself and a call girl (Karen Alexander), who once dated. The only witness (Tea Leone) will testify only "Mike", but he is not in the offic " [More]

"Ok, I'm probably the only retard who forgot Infernal Affairs 1-3 was the basis for the Departed. That aside, this movie was fantastic. I've seen Departed - enjoyed it. But Andy Lau and Tony Leung Chiu-Wai have acting chops galore. Actually, the entire cast is 100% believable. " [More]

"[quote user="Risselada"]Well Matt, I actually usually find superheros to be pretty silly. So I don't get into the traditional ones very much. Especially the same ones over and over that everyone is obsessed over, which I think is pretty much the ones in the movies I had named. This Batman Begins movie was very dark, but I still find it pretty goofy. For instance, my all time favorite Batman " [More]

"[quote user="mattypro"]Seriously...He llboy? Better than Batman?? You must be joking. Unfortunately, you are normally funny...so I cant say this was a very successful joke. Haha. Dude, Hellboy was ok...but if you are talking about comic book movies of "recent years" then you are reffering to Batman Begins which is a fantastic movie. And most certainly superior to Hellboy.&nb " [More]
