Prepare for plenty of music, lots of dancing, and even a little magic in this reworking of the Cinderella legend featuring High School Musical star Drew Seeley as a young Prince Charming in search of the ideal girl. It's never easy being the new kid in school, but young Joey (Seeley) is determined to make the most of his new surroundings. If only he were to find a pretty girl who was willing to teach him the ropes around his new high school, Joey could finally stop fretting about fitting in. Perhaps Mary (Selena Gomez) is just such a girl, though this Cinderella is more likely to waltz in a new pair of dancing shoes than a pair of glass slipper. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

"thank-you WB!!!!!!!! Drew and Selena were so good in this movie! I have been waiting for Drew to star in his own movie for ever. He is a really good actor and I hope we will see more of him. We all knew he could sing and dance, but he now can add acting to his list!! The writing was great. I loved the story and how dancing was the theme. I am a dancer and thought the dancing in the movie was excellent. Even though it looked like Selena had a dou " [More]

"I watched this the other day with my 9 year old daughter and was pleasantly surprised by the whole thing. I felt the cast was excellent and portrayed their characters well. Loved all performances. Jane Lynch was a stand out, but she always is. Mary and Joey were sweet. One of the daughters was a bimbo and the other was pure evil. Loved them both. Then we had Tami and Dustin who were somewhere in the middle. Even though the Natalia characte " [More]

"This movie is great for kids around the age of 9-14. Another Cinderella Story is the perfect movie for if you are just at home and it happens to be raining. You might want to pop this movie in! Selena Gomez (Mary) stars as a 14-year-old girl who lives with her stepmother and two stepsisters. At school Mary stays outside of the crowd untill she meets the hunky, heart throb of the entire town. Could this be her chance to rise above the crowd? In stead of the regullar 17th century classic t " [More]

"Over the years, Hollywood has felt the need to 'update' many classics. Whether it's the Grimm Fairytales, Shakespeare or a much-beloved Disney tale, there have been ten terrible adaptations for every good one. Which one takes the cake for "Worst Modern Retelling of a Classic", and why? Share y " [More]

Another Cinderella Story would be a pretty lame affair without its talented cast. Created using the Disney Channel's patented cookie cutter formula, the screenplay is so predictable that one can watch the film with the sound off and not really miss anything important plotwise. Said plot also, of course, features a number of credibility-stretching ingredients -- but then, so does the original Cinderella tale, so perhaps it's not fair to complain about that in this version. The music and dancing is also exactly what one would expect: trendy, friendly, unchallenging pop songs and generic dancing that emphasizes lots of energy. Of course, with Selena Gomez and Drew Seeley on hand as the Cinderella character and her prince, the material comes across as much more entertaining than it should. And when the riotously amusing Jane Lynch is added into the mix, one surprisingly finds oneself laughing out loud. None of the flaws will matter to its target audience, anyway; but older viewers can be thankful for the fine cast that makes it much more bearable than it should be. ~ Craig Butler, All Movie Guide
