Part of the ABC News Nightline series, which features favorite episodes from anchorman Ted Koppel's award-winning television news program, ABC News Nightline: Assassination Attempt Against President Reagan focuses on the shocking 1981 shooting of President Ronald Reagan. As Reagan exited the Washington Hilton Hotel, mentally unstable John Hinckley Jr. fired six bullets, striking the President and three others. Reagan recovered quickly, but Press secretary Jim Brady was shot in the head and left paralyzed. Hinckley was found not guilty by reason of insanity. ~ Betsy Boyd, All Movie Guide
