Mrs. Craddock (
Fay Compton) is a concerned mother who tries to raise three children as a single parent after her husband (
Jack Buchanan) supposedly dies. Her children are led to believe their father died a hero while saving the life of a drowning victim. The wayward husband returns and tries to blackmail his wife and lead the oldest son (Jack Hobbs) away from the straight and narrow path.
