Synopsis
The District Attorney in this 5-reel Lubin release was played by George Soule Spencer. Swept into office with the help of his father-in-law's crooked political machine, Spencer has every intention to "toe the line" with the powers-that-be. Meanwhile, the D.A.'s secretary
Dorothy Bernard
tries to clear the name of her sweetheart, a warrant clerk who has been caught forging vouchers on behalf of the Machine. Someone is going to have to experience an epiphany and turn honest, and the smart money is on the District Attorney. The trade magazine Variety was hostile to the film, complaining that it didn't deliver the thrills and suspense that its title seemed to promise. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
