Directed by P.J. Pesce
From Dusk Till Dawn 3 director P.J. Pesce takes the helm once again for this straight to video sequel concerning Nicole (Autumn Reeser), a young girl who falls in with a pack of vampire surfers after moving to the town of Trinidad, California with her brother Chris (Tad Hilgenbrink). "Oh good, fake controversy! Everyone’s pointing to Jeffrey Ressner’s Politico piece on Boogie Man, the Lee Atwater doc screening here at LAFF. “Atwater doc makes conservatives groan,” cries the headline. But, as AJ Schnack points out, those groaning conservatives were actually Ressner’s invited guests, conservative plants who would likely be hostile towards the subject matter regardless of its actual treatment. On to controversy-baiting classics: “The 7-minute film has a hero called Eveready H " [More]

"Getting straight to the point-y stake, Lost Boys: The Tribe is an amazingly bad amalgam of sub-standard writing and amateurish production value not suitable for the melodramatic soap operas and flesh-peddling Skinamax films it so desperately wants to emulate. Rehashing the same story-line from the original film The Lost Boys and putting a 'modern' twist on it, the films reeks of inexperienced filmmakers and the pathetically inept actors cast in this charade of a sequel. "I really enjoyed Pineapple Express. I laughed so much that I thought I would choke on my food. Sure, Seth Rogan ("Stepbrothers") yells a little too much, and, in a couple of places, the film drags a little. But over all, very, very funny. James Franco ("In the Valley of Elah") stars as Rogan's pot dealer to whom Rogan confesses he has witnessed a crime. The two then go on the run. I can't wait to watch this again. Live Flesh is a gorgeous film by writer/director Pedro Almodovar ("Volver"). Li " [More]

"I am an avid horror fan and when I heard about this sequel I was very excited. Even all of the negativity surrounding it couldn't keep me away, well I wish it would have been enough to keep me from wasting my time with this flick. I hated it right off the bat and the only thing that kept me watching it was the naive thought that oh it can only get better. I was so wrong, the dialouge was cheesy to the point of being laughable none of the performances where believable and the vampires weren't co " [More]

The YouTube/Jackass generation grows fangs in this lame straight-to-DVD sequel that rehashes much of the first film, while dishing out little to make it its own. Packed with "bro" talk and seemingly endless movie references (including Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Goonies, The Warriors and The Big Lebowski), this is one production that will rarely be gobbled up by anyone other than whom the filmmakers have deemed their target brain-dead audience. Only Corey Feldman really shows up to work here, though even he is given no one else to play his shtick off of. And that long-rumored Corey Haim cameo, along with the return of the other Frog Brother? They're nowhere to be seen in the final cut - relegated to the 2 alternate endings on the DVD (which end up being better than the whole flick). Utterly worthless to anyone other than bleach blonde bimbros that have awaited extreme sports acceptance in trashy knock-off sequels, Lost Boys: The Tribe deserves to be lost in time forever. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, All Movie Guide
