Synopsis
Before he would hit it big with Ally McBeal and Boston Legal, TV impresario David E. Kelley created Picket Fences, an "all's not what it seems" dramedy set in small-town America. The first episode of the series set the stage for what was to come, and introduced such characters as sheriff Jimmy (Tom Skerritt), his wife (Kathy Baker) and the eccentric Judge Henry (Ray Walston), who would demonstrate the kind of courtroom antics that would become a Kelley staple. ~ Michael Hastings, All Movie Guide
