A hopelessly inept rock band hitches their wagon to a celebrity who turns about to be a very loose canon in this offbeat comedy-drama from Belgium. Koen (Norman Baert), Jan (Gunter Lamoot) and Ivan (Sam Louwyck) are three losers living in a small town in Flanders who share a dream of forming a rock and roll band and becoming successful enough to move somewhere else. Their gimmick is that all three members live with minor handicaps; Koen has a speech impediment, Jan has trouble with one arm, and Ivan has lost most of his hearing. However, this minor notoriety hasn't been enough to earn them paying gigs, and they're in need of a drummer. The guys think their ship may have finally come in when they meet Dries (Dries Vanhegen), a well-known author, and are able to persuade him to become their new percussionist. Unfortunately, the band, now dubbed The Feminists, quickly discover Dries has no discernable talent as a drummer, and that he has a thoroughly despicable personality that makes him toxic to audiences as well as his bandmates.
