Synopsis
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, a fledgling insurance adjustor is forced to view the world from a perspective that he never imagined. Turner Stull was in need of employment when he traveled to New Orleans to work alongside his uncle Stully at the Bridge Catastrophe Service. The Bridge Catastrophe Service is an opportunistic company that processes insurance claims from hurricane damaged homes, and Turner is a young man who has yet to discover his path in life. Of course Turner's uncle Stully is a seasoned claim adjustor who knows the routine inside and out, and it isn't long before the eager nephew learns that the only way to keep profits high is to move fast and avoid emotional attachment. At first this sounds easy enough, but upon dealing with desperate people who have lost everything Turner quickly discovers just how difficult a job insurance adjusting can be. One day, in a moment of weakness, the inexperienced Turner agrees to help a man named Nixon search for his missing dog. In exchange for Turner's help, Nixon agrees to help his new friend with some insurance claims. Later, as the pair attempts to navigate the storm-damaged city, Turner begins to realize just what a profound impact the experience is having on his life. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
