Hostage (2004)

Synopsis
An Albanian immigrant hijacks a Greek passenger bus in hopes of gaining safe passage back to his home country in director Constantine Giannaris' tense account of the headline-making 1999 hostage situation that quickly spiraled into disaster. An armed Albanian man wanders onto a Greek bus, immediately overtaking the frightened passengers while issuing demands for money and safe passage back into Albania. In the subsequent twenty-hours, the tragic events that unfolded on that bus would serve to highlight the increasingly explosive relationship between Greece and its neighboring country Albania. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
