is neutral about it.
This rare entry in the Chilean Gothic horror genre boasts the look and pacing of early
Dario Argento, and it compares well to the Italian's lesser efforts. Special effects are excellent, considering the budget, with the occasional CGI effect inserted amid the usual fluid blood splattering. While the story often spins its wheels, the gore factor is the sole reason genre aficionados will look into this, and this one lives up to its self-describing title. Others will find it eventually mind-numbing. Not quite cult material, but Goth fans looking for something with a different accent will be thrilled by the exotic material. ~ Buzz McClain, All Movie Guide
