Grandad (1979)

Synopsis
Reviving the old-codger character he'd played on the popular British sitcom Dad's Army, Clive Dunn essayed the title role in the BBC1 children's comedy series Grandad. The setting was Parkview Rehearsal Hall, where Charlie "Grandad" Quick (Dunn) worked as a character. With the dubious aid of his pet parrot The Captain, Grandad tried to help out the kiddie performers who used the hall, usually with disastrous results. The 22 half-hour episodes of Grandad were seen from October 3, 1979, to the spring of 1984. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
