Seduced (2001)

This police procedural is dressed up in black leather bodices in a vain effort to keep anyone from noticing it's a wan melodrama. The erotic elements are undermined by a murder mystery that seems stolen from a romance novel. On the plus side, the sex is steamy and copious -- if you like things a little rough -- and the performances are nicely understated, with production values looking good throughout. Try not to think about the ridiculously awkward relationships -- and the groan-inducing, tacked-on surprise ending -- and you'll be whipped into a frenzy for a few minutes at a time. ~ Buzz McClain, All Movie Guide
