Relena has surrendered to the Romefeller Foundation to prevent more bloodshed, but Heero fights on against the mobile dolls, under the influence of the immensely powerful Epyon's cockpit system. Zechs Merquise, who has sped to the Sanc Kingdom in the Zero Wing after hearing Relena's abdication broadcast, encounters the Epyon. The hallucinating Heero attacks Zechs, and as the battle picks up in intensity, Zechs begins to give in his Gundam's cockpit system as well. Meanwhile, Relena meets with Duke Dermail of the Romefeller Foundation. Dermail tells her that they've spun the story of the Sanc Kingdom's invasion to the world by declaring that they had to stop the flow of Treize Faction and ex-Alliance soldiers into the Kingdom in order to pave the way for total pacifism, as practiced by the Sanc Kingdom.
