Synopsis
This documentary, part of the
American Justice
series from A&E and narrated by
American Justice
host and producer Bill Kurtis, is the first in a four-part series on the Mob and its members. This episode focuses on the role of the godfather in the Mob organization. Known as the leader or head of the organizations, godfathers are often both revered and feared men in local and even national circuits. Some famous godfathers throughout Mob history have been Al Capone, Lucky Luciano, Dutch Schultz, and later, John Gotti.
American Justice
features interviews with members of the Federal Task Force officers who spend their lives investigating Mob activity. Other interviews with historians, Mob experts, and even some men and women with Mob ties talk about how the godfathers held all of the organizations together. ~ Cecilia Cygnar, All Movie Guide
