Franco Lo Cascio's only softcore comedy before becoming notorious as porn director "Luca Damiano" is unusual in being partially financed by the mother of its female lead, Patrizia Gori. The story behind the film, which involved Lo Cascio telling Gori's mother that he was divorcing his wife to be with Gori, thus securing the loan, is actually more interesting than what is onscreen. It's a routine affair from the prolific pen of Piero Regnoli, who wrote eight such films in 1975 alone, concerning a woman who uses prostitutes to blackmail local councilmembers who are trying to shut down an abandoned house serving as a meeting-place for her friends. Umberto D'Orsi appears as the mayor, and comedian Salvatore Baccaro, best known for playing grunting beast-men in movies like La Bestia in Calore and El Castello dell'Orrore, shows up as well. Prolific maker of spaghetti Westerns, Demofilo Fidani was the assistant director. ~ Robert Firsching, All Movie Guide
