Synopsis
Two little-understood phenomena, hypnosis and insanity, were played for laughs in this French release from Pathe Freres. Suffering from a domineering wife, a husband appeals to his father-in-law for help. Daddy shows up at the couple's home, putting wifey in her place and assuming command. Seeking revenge, the wife elicits the aid of a hypnotist. The latter places the father under a hypnotic spell, prompting the poor fellow to wander through the streets in a state of undress. Daddy is carted off to the booby hatch, while the wife resumes her "rightful" position as head of the household. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
