This film is the last segment of a five-part series on a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the Boeing 777. The 777 is one of the most technically advanced aircraft ever built, requiring five years and the concerted labor of over 10,000 employees to complete it. In this episode, set in 1995, there are only six months left until the first plane is to be delivered to United Airlines. Efforts and emotions intensify as the due date draws closer. To ensure that the final product is ready for air use, a 777 is tested to destruction, to measure its performance under turbulent conditions and emergency maneuvers. The viewer then shares the intense feelings of pride and accomplishment, as the 777 takes off on its inaugural flight.
