Many homes built in the dawn of the 20th century reflect the unique personalities of their accomplished owners. During this episode, A&E takes viewers to see three of these beautiful homes. Fans of Tom Sawyer will enjoy seeing the Nook Farm community near Hartford, CT, where the Mark Twain House is located. It was designed around the open countryside by New York City architect Edward Tuckerman Potter. Thomas Edison's home, named Glenmont, is located in northeast New Jersey. Because Edison invented the phonograph, music often filled the hallways of this distinguished 23-room house. Finally, viewers have the chance to peer into the U-shaped granite structure known as the Glessner House, which was built in a Romanesque style and completed in 1887.
