From Season One of Debbie Travis' Painted House, Episode 107 shows the creation of a historical bathroom that takes its cue from the elegance of the Napoleonic era, which in turn took its cue from classical Greece. Debbie Travis retains the modern plumbing, then finishes the doors and baseboards in faux mahogany. The next step is to turn a plastic urn into a plaster one with paint and a sponge, a great place to store rolled-up towels and other bathroom accessories. Also shown is an option to stencil the wastebasket with a crown of laurel leaves, using a noble gold paint. Debbie makes simple wall decor come alive with trompe l'oeil framing that adds dimension and depth to flat surfaces. Finally, she makes the medicine cabinet look like the exterior of a Napoleonic mansion. ~ Leslie Birdwell, All Movie Guide
