Part of a video series which investigates the sculptor Dale Chihuly's specific modes of working, Chihuly: In Niijima Floats documents the glass master's creative process. Viewers travel to Niijama, a rocky island ten hours from Tokyo Bay, where Chihuly and his creative team work long and hard. The camera also captures Chihuly dreaming on a bicycle ride, discovering inspiration in a bubble, and finding solutions by doing rather than planning. In the video, Chihuly constructs 1,000 gleaming fishing floats and keeps searching for answers. ~ Betsy Boyd, All Movie Guide
