This film is part of a series featuring the different regions of Alaska. In this episode, the viewer takes a trip along Alaska's famed Inside Passage. Much of the southeastern region of Alaska can be reached only by boat or plane. Tour boats carry passengers from island to island, through the pristine wilderness. Dense forests line the misty banks from Ketchikan to Sitka. Passengers wait in anticipation of a sighting of the orca whale. Each stop is unique, whether it is a Nordic festival in Petersburg or a glacier calving in Juneau. The film's beautiful cinematography captures the magic of the region. ~ Rose of Sharon Winter, All Movie Guide
