Ueki Tylor thinks he has it made; with a cushy job delivering pension checks for the United Planets Space Force, he'll have it easy from now on, right? Tylor's slacker plans are abruptly changed when he's appointed captain of the most rag-tag, embarrassing ship in the fleet, and what's worse -- there's an alien threat approaching. It's beginning to look like Captain Tylor will need to pull together his crew, including an alcoholic doctor, a neurotic commander, and a flighty nurse, if he wants his ship to make it home in one piece. ~ Cammila Albertson, All Movie Guide

"You could check out our group's lists. They are divided into different genres and have a lot of anime in them, so they would probably be very helpful to you. As for my personal recommendations, my favorite titles include Fullmetal Alchemist, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Ouran High School Host Club, Wolf's Rain, The Irresponsible Captain Tylor, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Mushi-shi, and Kashi-mashi. I would also recommend watching any of Studio Ghibli's films. I can make many more recommendations if you'd like, thought I'd just give you a few to start you off though. :) " [More]

"Rightstuf.com is having a huge sale on some anime DVD bundles right now. Some titles on sale include Eukeka 7, Inuyasha, Chobits, My-Hime, and much more. Everything is over 50% off, even up to 78% off. I bought the Irresponsible Captain Tylor OVA's for only $25 after being 64% off. I know I sound like an advertisement, but I was just letting you guys know so you could get some good deals too! ^^;;; (And yes, rightstuf is a reputable company. I've ordered many things there before, and they are also responsible for licensing many titles, such as Captain Tylor, Gravitation, and Kimba the White Lion.)Go here for a list of sale items: http://www.rightstuf.com/rssit e/main/news/individual/?ForumT hreadName=FT0000000199&Ret urnTo=Main " [More]

"I'd never been there before, but it seems like a pretty good site. For looking up information about series I like to use animenewsnetwork.com. Usually when I watch anime online I use youtube or crunchyroll.com because my computer can't really handle downloading all that stuff (plus i don't have a bittorrent player so most downloads I can't watch anyways.) I used to download off realitylapse.com, they're pretty good, that's where I first watched FMA and Chobits.I think the first anime series I watched entirely on DVD was Utena. I watch most of my stuff online ^^;; The only series I own fully on dvd are Utena, FMA, Captain Tylor, and Please Teacher (though I watched FMA and Please Teacher online before buying them. Actually, I think you'd like Please Teacher alot if you watched it.) I have most of DearS on dvd now, I just haven't gotten around to watching any of it ^^;; But I have alot of the series I've watched partially on dvd, plus I buy a ton o ... " [More]
