Synopsis
This film is an adaptation of whatever part of Tibor Dery's epic novel would fit into a 141 minute period. The novel concerns Hungarian society in the 1930s. In the story, a young man of the upper class is in love with a communist laborer, but despite his best intentions, is unable to fully break through the barriers of class.
