Jim Dale plays Spanish map-maker Christopher Columbus, who has a plan to navigate a new route to India, bypassing the Sultan of Turkey (
Rik Mayall) and his sky-high tributes. He convinces King Ferdinand of Spain (
Leslie Phillips) and Queen Isabella (
