i loved this movie. it sucked me right inside. i find Edward Norton strangely attractive anyway and in this movie he was definitely dark, handsome, and mysterious (if not tall)! he pulls off the cape and top hat look for sure. other acting roles were good too, especially Paul Giamatti. the setting and the music were beautiful. it was romantic, magical, and somewhat sad. i didn't see the end coming but i was just kind of going with the flow. what i've described sounds somewhat "chick-flicky" and my husband didn't like it nearly as well as me but i think most people would find something entertaining here. it is never explained how he does what he does but that would ruin the illusion, wouldn't it? i give it 4-1/2 out of 5 stars.
