Galaxy Invader is a hoot, from the silly redneck stereotypes, to the tacky space ray gun, to the hilariously bad "special effects," to the rampant nepotism in casting. There is really nothing good to say about this movie, which makes it one of those rare awful movies that is truly wonderful just because it is so bad. It's a pity it never got the MST3K treatment (though it did show up, oddly, during the credits for "Pod People.")
