An excellent story line ruined by too much fleshing out of the plot. About 2 hours would have covered the story very well. The acting is typical of many silent movies i.e. overacting to show an emotion or action. The scences covering the druken brawls and the rescue work after the trains wreck are just two examples of why the movie is much longer than it should be to hold your interest. Maybe this is called being artistic!
