Charlie Chaplin has made some great movies,Modern Times, The Great dictator, Gold Rush but this is not one of them. It is a typical Chaplin movie and if you enjoy sight-gags without much of a plot then this is your cup of tea. It was daring at its' time of release, WWI was not quite finished at the time. The movie was reported to be very successful at that time. Poor by today's standards.
