Ever experienced being out of love when all your friends are in love? Or maybe falling head over heels for someone who you think is the one, but someone who you -- for some reason -- struggle to hide your feelings from? Well, this movie represents those feelings, except in this case, your friends are tying the knot while you are still single with 27 bridesmaid dresses (maybe it doesn't literally apply to the guys though). Oh and that guy you thought was your soulmate, well, he ends up falling for your sister and then they want a wedding that you have to plan. Not to mention, this pesky, annoying person who keeps trying to betray you at first, but then of course gets to know you and "loves" you all of a sudden. Yeah, life is sort of like that, right?
Overall, 27 Dresses pretty much explains that life doesn't always turn out as you expected it to be and that love doesn't necessarily have fairytale beginnings, but it can have the same happy ending. For the most part, I'm indifferent to this movie. However, I thought it was cute if you like seeing the "underdogs" make it to their happy ending. Of course, a happy ending is the specialty of romantic comedies, so that much is to be expected.
