Shopgirl
I was kind of disappointed with this film. I had read the Steve Martin's book and was drawn to Mirabelle's problems but in the film her depression is barely mentioned. Sure, it was mentioned but it didn't make the same impact on her life and her decisions as it did in the book. There was a sense of disconnect in the film from all of the characters that caused me to not really care about what happened to any of them. Maybe I'm bias though, since i loved the book so much, so overall, w/out my bias, it was a pretty alright film...plus Jason Schwartzman's in it....
