Ok, I was quite skeptical about this film. I didn't know what to expect, knowing Michael Bay's history and some of the "actors" in the film. Given some of the heavy hitters (ie Voight and LeBeouf) the cast left much to be desired. It was a last minute decision to go and see this, my friend left town for five months the next day and he wanted to go. I honestly didn't know what to expect, the previews were a little ambiguous. I was shocked, yes the focus was taken away from the actual Transformers more than it should. The extreme lack of "language" and the abundance of humor made up for what the movie lacked. I'm not against swearing, but I prefer it not abused when not needed.  I feel the soul purpose of the film was to bring back that childhood excitement. It got you giggling, it made you excited. I left wanting to rush back to when I was 5 and was holding full scale battles with my brothers in our livingroom. I wouldn't say it's a cinematic feat, but it left me with the feeling it was supposed to, a trill of being young again. I reccommend it, it's worth the step off the cliff, You might be surprised, so all you anti- Michael Bay people, you need to step off your high horse and check it out. Don't be so stubborn, it's not very becoming. Thank you.

For Benicio and Johnny... I don't think you could have had more fun doing a film. Being able to act like that, look like that, and be able to go past the limit without anything holding you in.... it just doesn't get any better. It took me a while to actually watch this movie, and get through it... but the first time I actually sat down and watched it, I was throughly impressed with the camera work and visual effects. Some say you need to be "un-sober" to watch, but the film alone will put your mind in such a tizzy that nothing chemical is needed to enjoy the trip. Twisted and hilarious, I mean who cannot laugh at the way they walk around like they are about to fall over when they are perfectly fine? It's a journey that makes you not want to dive into the drug scene, but at the same time.... you wonder...

I was surprised... I saw the second Pirates twice. The second time I caught a lot more than the first. So I was really looking forward to the third. I thought graphically, it was phenomenal. And the entertainment never stopped. I did realized, not to be mean to those who I'm referring too, it was over their heads. People that I have heard didn't like it, were lost. I think it should be seen a second time if you were lost. Hell, everything deserves a second chance, ya? I wouldn't call it a cinematic phenom, but it was, in my sweet opinion, better than the first two. Depp's multiple performance just allowed him to display the actor he truly is, if we didn't already know. Not being a huge fan of Bloom or Knightly, I was impressed. I was dissapointed however at the lack of Keith Richards, you make a big deal out of something, you should deliver. But what can you do.... I give it 2 thumbs up, fine holiday fun....

I loved this movie, it's a funny memory for me. At the time, I guess, according to my mother, I was to young to see it. When it first came out on video, my grandmother rented it and let me watch it with her. I think we both got in trouble. haha! I just remember how much I loved it. AND when I was at the OCS graduation formal for my brother, this couple was at our table. He was graduating as well. And he was an actor, we were talking and he was like, "yeah, I think the only movie that you would know that I was in would be, LA Confidential." As I was picking up my jaw from the table, I think I let out a little shreak. Me the one that would NEVER be star-struck... HA! I couldn't help it. He said that he was someone with just a few lines. AND as I'm writing this I'm kicking my butt for not remembering his name, BUT he was an attractive redhead... he played a cop. Watch for him next time... I know I will!! So, this is more than a movie to me, not only good, but it holds some great memories...

I'm sorry, the idea.... splendid. Do a dreamily, Broadway stage style musical on the big screen. BUT the casting leaves you wondering... I cannot lie, I was entertained. Yet, not convinced. Ewan McGregor, surprises with a good voice. The porcelin doll herself, Kidman, just never pushes it over the edge. She's always almost there, but never really wins the performance. Sad, actually. The casting leaves the mind wondering, and the songs... fantasy mixed with reality. Some work, but then some just smack you right off that cloud and bring you crashing back down to earth. Romeo + Juliet was a masterpiece, and trying to top that was a mistake. Sorry to all the lovers out there, I don't want to be a hater... but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Yes, I know... other than our witt and our dancing ability, Madame Posey and I look nothing alike... BUT this movie is almost like watching a biography of myself... going from the party girl, to the responsible girl... then finally finding that happy medium...And how can you NOT love Parker Posey??? I don' t know... she's just plain wonderful. She's pretty darn close to that whole "everything she touches turns to gold" title... She just needs more lead roles!

When this film was in the theater, my mother and I went to see it. Expecting to see a nice romantic comedy. Quite a shocker when Sandler's sisters start tearing him apart. And the sex-capades brought from Hoffman's  "store", don't help the situation. When Watson comes in with her delicate beauty, and soft-spoken/hidden encouragement for Sandler, the story brightens. It's not a movie that I can watch over and over, but I own in proudly and once in a while go back to it and remember the intense pleasure it can bring. I know not many people liked it, but I walked away feeling satisfied. I highly recommend it, make sure you are in the mood for something opposite of lighthearted though.
