I finally watched this film and paid attention to it. It's pure sexism, disguising as female empowerment. First of all, if you check all the male buddie/road trip movies, they are not sexually harrassed, end up killing someone, have to run away from the police or ends up in suicide. I'm basically thinking about such films as Easy Rider, males are always the innocent victims as they try to express themselves, but when it's a woman, she's always in an oppressive relationship and will be objectified wherever she goes. It even makes a very limp attempt at "objectifying" Brad Pitt's body, but we also end up seeing more of Geena Davis than we bargained for.
It completely left me reeling, but it was expected from such an over rated director.
