    Everyone's Hero  (2006)

When I heard that Christopher Reeves and his wife had worked on this project before their passings, I knew I wanted to see it.  I knew it would be great.  The problem...it wasn't.  Yes, the message behind the movie, "You Can Do It", is great for children as well as adults to hear and remember.  I just did not find the humor as funny as it could have been and that disappoints me.  It had the elements and ability to be hilarious and have a meaningful storyline, alas, one out of two.

    Desert Hearts  (1985)

I was not sure about this movie, so I rented it.  It starts off slow and has quite a few slow or dull moments.  I just had to keep in mind that this was the first full length lesbian movie made (at least I think it is) which helped me keep my patience.  Overall, a beautiful story of two women who fall in love.  It's always great to see the emotions behind a woman's first realization that she is indeed in love with another woman.  Also true to those emotions were the sex scenes.  Not my favorite movie, but it is one I would like to watch when I have some spare time.

    The Holiday  (2006)

I absolutely loved this movie.  Yes, I am a chick flick kind of girl, but don't dwell, I love not so chick flick movies as well!

The idea behind this movie was a great one.  I never would have thought of trading houses with a strager living on a different continent.  If my heart has just been broken (again) that would be the perfect idea!  I also loved how the characters were so easy to relate to.  Great movie!

    The Wizard  (1989)

This movie is great for those nights when your reminiscing about the 80's.  I fell in love with the Nintendo back in the day and with all the new technology and game systems I rarely think back.  Ahh.... I remember how cool the Glove was too!  My brother had one and wouldn't share.  Also, what little girl didn't think Fred Savage was adorable!?

I also love how the story line still affected me.  For me, this movie is just one of those moves that I MUST have in my childhood movie collection and probably share with my nieces and nephew.
