I was really shocked when I saw the reviews for this movie. Normally I seem to see eye-to-eye with most critics...but not on this film.
The Fountain is one of the most beautiful and though-provoking films I've seen in a long time. Once it ended, I wanted to watch it again. I've since bought the DVD and seen it 3 times.
This isn't one of those "point A to point B" movies. No, there isn't a standard plot. This is a work of art and a film that has a lot of ideas behind it's simple story.
I think The Fountain will stand the test of time and be one of those films that people look back on as a masterpiece.
