Reign Over Me starring Adam Sandler (Billy Madison, Mr.Deeds) & Don Cheadle (Crash, Hotel Rwanda) tells a touching story about a man named Charlie (Adam Sandler) who lost his wife, 3 kids, and dog on September 11,2001. When Don Cheadle meets up with Adam Sandler they get to re-connect because they were collage room-mates.
Now in this film, Adam Sandler does not want to think about the loss of his family. Infact he trys to totally forget about it, thinking that it never happend. In one scene of the film you see Adam Sandler & Don Cheadle coming out of a old movie theater laughing. You think everythings alright and they'll get some chinese food, but all of a sudden Don Cheadle's wife calls and tells him that his father died. When Don Cheadle tells Adam Sandler that his father dies it reminds Adam about his family. So Adam tells Don "oh lets go get some breakfast." But Don Cheadle comes back home. In another scene Adam tells the whole story about how he lost his family. Now when you see this film on dvd or in theaters prepare to cry at that scene. Another scene to cry at is when Adam is in the court room and (I forgot who) some guy shows pictures of Adam's 3 daughters, and wife. So Adam turns up the song Love Reign o'er Me by The Who and screams the song out while he is being dragged out of the courtroom. This is a very touching film with a few laughs in it.
In all I give Reign Over Me a 9 out of 10.
