Both stories were well developed and when the movie ended, I found myself hoping for a sequal. This is one of the few movies that I have bought.A Bizarre Messhttp://www.spout.com/blogs/ronmauldin/archive/2008/1/5/23529.aspxSat, 05 Jan 2008 05:32:26 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:23529ronmauldin0http://www.spout.com/blogs/ronmauldin/comments/23529.aspxhttp://www.spout.com/blogs/ronmauldin/commentrss.aspx?PostID=23529
If there is a plot, it takes so many leaps that it is hard to follow. Jim Carrey does not play a believable character... he needs to stick to comedy. To cap off a lousy movie, the feel good ending was totally out of character. The few laughs did not make up for the time lost.

While the actors were reasonable, the script and direction sucked so bad the movie never had a chance. I will try to remember the name of the director, Jim Abrahams, so as to avoid such regurgitation again.
Captured... I especially appreciate the insight into the lives of the hearty, yet peaceful Inuit locals.

Be sure to watch the “Making of the Movie” flick after the seeing main feature… it will give you an intense appreciation for the truly harsh conditions, excellent casting and superb directing needed to make this film an evening well spent.
Gotta Get You Into My Life...http://www.spout.com/blogs/ronmauldin/archive/2008/1/3/23489.aspxFri, 04 Jan 2008 01:43:52 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:23489ronmauldin0http://www.spout.com/blogs/ronmauldin/comments/23489.aspxhttp://www.spout.com/blogs/ronmauldin/commentrss.aspx?PostID=23489
To truly enjoy and understand this film, you need to be a Beatles music fan and it helps to be a child of the Beatles era... so naturally, I loved it. My 16 year old son who is also a Beatles music fan also loved it.
