Shin seiki Evangelion Gekijô-ban: Shito shinsei (Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth)
The first three fourths or so of this movie is re-edited from the entire Neon Genesis Evangelion anime series. If you've already seen that series, then this section is redundant. If you haven't seen it, then you are missing a lot, and I suspect it would be confusing. The last fourth of the film is sort of an alternate ending to the series, which wasn't much of an ending anyways. And the ending of this film actually isn't an ending either. It's basically a cliffhanger to the next film, The End of Evangelion, which I have yet to see. Although it does have one of the cooler Eva fight scenes of the series. Kind of a strange way of presenting this story though.
