Anaconda 3: The Offspring
This is the third full "bad horror movie" I saw on Halloween with that group of friends. And it was definitely the worst! Although I did catch about the last fifteen minutes of a film called Triloquist which I'm expecting if I had seen all of it so I could rate it properly would have been a rival for one of the worst movies I've ever seen. In fact it looked so bad I'm kind of sad I didn't get to see it to just see how bad it was, and at the same time am incredibly grateful I didn't have to watch it if it was actually as bad as I'm suspecting.
However Anaconda III gives a really great attempt at being one of the worst movies I've seen as well. I have never seen the first two movies in the series, although I highly doubt it would have made any difference. I have seen the trailers for them though and I can tell you that as you progress along in the series the animation of the snakes actually gets worse and worse. Some of the clips I've seen from the first movie don't actually look too bad. In the third one it looks like the snakes were made by computer technology from ten years BEFORE the first movie rather than ten years after as is actually the case. I assume the budget for this film was nowhere near the original. I think the only reason they rented this one because it has David Hasselhoff in it and that's good for a laugh. But you don't really need to see it to laugh about that.
Oh and guess what, director Don. E. FauntLeRoy has completed Anaconda 4: Trail of Blood which will be premiering on the Sci-Fi channel later this month. Will the snakes look even worse???!
