A Message from Akira Kurosawa: For Beautiful Movies
Again there's no Spout link for this movie. It was featured on the DVD for Ikiru. A good documentary about a director in that we actually get to see the director talking about his work.
As much as I love many of Kurosawa's movies, I tend to feel like some of his statements about filmmaking didn't appeal to me. Unfortunately I waited too long after seeing this to write this blog that I can't really remember specifically anymore. Ok, so that was a worthless statement.
But I will recommend this documentary if you are a huge Kurosawa fan and want to hear him pontificate.
