Just finished watching this at SXSW at the Alamo Drafthouse. Very cool venue. As for the movie, it's fast paced and well done in many ways although sort of an empty thriller in the end. A modern take on Rear Window with lots of references to modern technology that were probably the most interesting parts of the film to me. Technology saturated teens, references to iTunes, XBox live, YouTube. In the end all the frantic groping for digital evidence serves no better than some good ole binoculars.
This will play well to a teen audience and those who like a fast paced thriller. It was great to see Carrie-Anne Moss again and I think Shia LeBeouf has a long, successful career ahead of him. There was talk of him for Indiana Jones 4? I can see it.
