  • Everything is erotic

I get Cronenberg. I get this vision of the erotic that is applied here to the pat horror themes best suited to the low budget.  This is a b-movie built around a sort of credo statement by the nurse who delivers the philosophical core: "Everything is erotic."

So, is this a commentary on the prospects of modern design? The super slick urban environments that satisfy our every urge. Underground parking, cable television, sexy neighbors. And the delightful prospects of the fully eroticized life. Pure libido at last with the help of some caustic slug in the abdomen. Too much brain, the mad scientists thinks, not enough sex. Hmm. It felt like a zombie movie, only they didn't want to eat you per se. Just mad concentuality once the slug has had its way.
