Saw the director's cut last night and definitely love the ending. However, I feel a bit weak here and there throughout the whole film, story wise. First of all, the medium of Evan's time traveling is his memory written photographed or filmed so going back to his childhood does make sense to me alright. But then after a while, I was wondering how he can "go back" after he goes back since the moemory is then not created yet. Therefore, he should live until he grows up again like in 君といた未来のために-I`ll be back-, over and over....,no? There is a time machine car in Back to the Future, a fairy  in プロポーズ大作戦, an angel in The Family Man etc. so the traveler can go back (and forth).....what's for Evan? Another thing that I have been thinking is that timeline should be parallel from one's memory to another; therefore,  the prisoner friend should see the marks already insead of  as a "sudden stigmata." Ohhh....this "undo" and "redo" story also reminds me of  the Groundhog Day! Good it's just one same day to deal with, haha. Still, I keep thinking about what are the blackouts meant before Evan starts writing journal. Are those his "fixing" attempts, too? About the shocking picture youngest Evan draws, ....it's a darn good drawing for a ilttle boy!!! And...what's that for? I understand planting a twist seed but I really don't get the purpose of him drawing a picture like that , somehow. To show who? To brought himself to doctors? That's the two prisoners he kills in the picture, right? Production wise, I felt like watching a soap production until pretty late of  the film. Was that because of the shift from non-studio to studio film? The performance are great but I somehow can not match the adult Evan and the youngest Evan, especially the way they act when raging. Hmm....that I would be more careful to make sure. Special effects are well created, nice work, in deed!
