What's all the buzz with this movie!! IT IS A PIECE OF CRAP!

I dont know why everyone is going crazy over this movie because it is boring, stupid, un-scary, and super lame!!; Watch a couple get scared over noises, slamming doors and all of that from the point of view of a handheld camera; at the beginning i thought this movie was a cheap porn movie then i realized i would have been better off renting one and staying at home; i also realized that on the trailers all the people screaming were doing so because they couldn't believe they paid to see the worst movie ever.

I think all the fuss is over its unique marketing & distribution strategy, and not so much over the film's merit. The fact that this film was shot on a shoestring budget and is about to cross the 100 million mark is certainly something to crow about.
In addition,I think the director's use of camera in camera to guide viewers through this couple's paranormal hell is effective, and a valid way to explain away the lack of bells and whistles. In this case, the amateur look of the film speaks to the director's skill as a budget-wise storyteller.
