Stop-motion brilliance

Under discussion:

Met State  (2003)
I saw this at Sundance 2003. It may be available online in the Sundance digital festival archives or at http://www.handcrankedfilm.com/. The guys who made this film are a strange hybrid of photographer, animator, filmmaker and the images in Met State are unforgettable. I'm anxious to see completion of their project, American Ruins, which looks like it's been in production for some years now.

I love the thought of this. Reminds me of Decasia. I'm not so sure about the technique, it seems a bit overwrought to me, but then I only watched the quicktime fragments. There is much to be done with this conceptually though.
