Most romantic movie ever.
I was 17 when I met my first girlfriend. On our second date, we rented a movie. I really thought it would be a home run if I rented The Jerk. All my friends loved The Jerk. Of course, all my friends were guys who had no girlfriends either.
I was laughing hysterically at Steve Martin (HE HATES THESE CANS!), but she wasn't laughing. I gave her a Geez-I-Blew-It kind of shrug. She just looked at me. Then she leaned over to say something, and—WHAM—we kissed right there. We kissed all the way through the credits and into the snowy stuff at the end of VHS tape. Kissing kissing, kissing.
There's something about The Jerk. It's the most romantic movie ever.

There's a great episode of Freaks and Geeks where Sam takes his girlfriend to The Jerk, and while he is laughing hysterically, she just sits there scowling. But he didn't get a kiss.
