I failed to see why this movie was so good because I was so distracted by how much better the book was. I was living in the south at the time and I had just spent the past few weeks soaking up every last bit of the book. I found the movie at my local library and was so excited to watch it.
I can't even begin to list the things the movie left out, and how disappointed I was. I recommended the book to everyone I knew, but I did not recommend the movie to anyone.
I think its time to redo Gone With the Wind as a three part series and really get into the details of the book (like the Harry Potter series or The Lord of the Rings). Johnny Depp should be Rhett Butler and someone new should be Scarlett because I can't think of anyone to play her...
