I am a big fan of the Batman of the comics, especially the darker version of the character. Thus, I was a big fan of Tim Burton's original
Batman (although I never liked Michael Keaton in the role), but I liked each successive Batman movie less and less. Until now.
Batman Begins was a terrific character study that just happens to be about a well-known superhero. The fact that Bruce Wayne does not don Batman's costume until well over an hour into the movie should say quite a bit about the focus of the picture. Other critics have spent more time and space discussing how good this movie is; I won't belabor the point. Simply know this: Go see
Batman Begins! Even if you're not a Batman fan, this is still a movie worth seeing.
