plot: wife and her famous artist husband move to secluded island. man starts cracking up and seeing "monsters". he is invited to parties by island owners because of his renown. the island owners end up being inhuman. he grows increasingly unstable and paranoid and distant until he shoots his wife. i forget the rest.

Persona (1966)

The story is simple and fascinating. you can easily see it being remade as a horror film. the plot is there. this woman is driven completly over the edge by frustration and dependancy and just plain hurt. I mean who hasnt left like stabbing someone they love at one point or another? The ending goes a bit weird and confusing, i needed to look up what really happened, but it doesnt spoil anything.

The Million Dollar Hotel (2000)

In movies every time there's a mental patient girl she's a secret whore or a prostitute. I was much more interested in the first half. The girls part was played pretty well regardless. It was an entertaining portrayal, and not that unbeleiveable.The detective part is fun to watch but seems a little too weird and out of place at times. Didn't really like the tom kid's slow moody narrating voice. Navaho rage is always funny though.
